But believe me, there are days that I would have cheerfully given all six of mine away (LOL!)! My kids range in age from 19-1/2 to 34 ... and they haven't yet left the nest -- I get at least one phone call each day from one of them, and in a week I hear from each one, sometimes several times (none of them lives near me) -- my youngest son is deployed to Bagram, so I'm not getting phone calls, but lots of emails and even hand-written letters (there was a while when I thought he didn't know what paper and pen were!).... I got a call from my youngest yesterday, did she know someway that she could get a school loan (my husband and I are covering tuition, rent, car upkeep, medical and books -- she's supposed to work and cover gas, food, and misc) -- she hasn't found a part-time job and hadn't eaten for 2 days!!! (I sent a check pdq, and told her to visit her father (from whom I'm divorced) and raid his pantry -- that's the least he can do!) You never, ever finish raising your kids! Mine are growing up to be my best friends, but the worry and heartache is always there. Currently three of my kids are unemployed (2 of them with new degrees -- one of which is a Ph.D. in chemistry, the other a B.A. in criminal justice; the third is having trouble finding a part-time job while at college), and financial problems are hitting them hard. And then there are health problems and family problems and ... and .... As I said, you ALWAYS worry about your kids! But anyway, good luck with having more kids! Guess I'm just sounding off about mine today, can't wait until their lives are going smoothly... Bonnie Re: Re: Members List? Bonnie, 6 children!! I am envious. We have 3 children right now and hope and pray that the Lord has more planned for us. It took us over 5 years to get pregnant with the last one though because of secondary fertility problems.
