Life Lift benefits

I love doing Life Lift, and love the changes in my body and health since

I

started. But I have had an unusual benefit that I thought might help

someone else in similar circumstances.

Shortly after I began LL, in Sept of last year, I found out that I had a

prolapsed uterus. (which explained the stress incontinence I had

experienced for some time). While researching this condition, one of

the

things I was supposed to avoid was unnecessary intra-abdominal pressure

that would place a stress on the pelvic support structures. I wondered

if

LL with its deep breathing would make the condition worse. But I loved

the

LL benefits, and wasn't ready to give it up without a fight.

So, I decided I would continue with LL and monitor my condition. As

long

as it wasn't worsening, I would continue. I went through the the LL

breath

step by step , and found that the only place there was downward pressure

was on the Pah. To counteract this, I made one small change in the LL

breath. Instead of tightening the pelvic muscles after the lift, I now

do

it before the Pah. Everything else about the breath is the same. I

added

some pelvic strengthening exercises to my LL routine as well.

Well, after 9 months of Life Lift, my condition did not worsen, but has

improved dramatically. My cervix, which used to sit just inside the

vaginal opening (more than you needed to know? :-D), has now lifted

back

up towards its normal position. My stress incontinence is almost

non-existent. Kegel exercises had been frustratingly ineffective in

handling this, but LL has done wonders.

I am so grateful for the changes I have experienced with Life Lift. As

if

losing weight and inches and regaining health and stamina weren't

enough,

now I don't have to worry about my body parts falling out!!

This is a great benefit, Jocelyne -- I need to bookmark this and save it, I've

had some minor problems in this area and usually those sort of things get worse,

not better!

My husband too is starting to join me in LL -- but I tried to get my 19-year-old

daughter to do it last night (she had a " migraine " coming on, thought LL

couldn't possibly hurt and might just help) -- she was emphatically not

interested..... I'm really impressed that you got your 17-year-old daughter to

join you!

I have another daughter coming to visit tomorrow (she's 34) and I hope to get

her interested -- she's a type-1 diabetic (since the age of 10) and very much

over-weight -- she's at an age where she just might listen to Mom! Being a

type-1 diabetic (on an insulin pump) she should not be heavy -- her doctor

doesn't understand -- but it's not her diet (reasonably low carb, moderate

calories), probably something screwy with her endocrine system (she's also

growth-retarded [she had to be put on HGH to grow from 3'8 " to 4'9 " ] and

sterile).

And her husband underwent his second back surgery about 14 weeks ago -- still

suffering a LOT of pain (finally put on a narcotic patch which seems to help) --

this might help him some....

Can I share too? One of the things on the tape was Rashelle talking about her

stomach and how she has digestion problems. I think that is what she said.

Anyhow, I have severe problems with digestion and my intestines. I would spend

hours in the bathroom with cramps so severe that I would almost pass out. My

husband or son would check on me regularly being afraid I would pass out.

One day it really hit me about what Rashelle had said on the tape about doing

the LL and rubbing her abdomen. Well, I started doing it while I was sitting

there with severe cramps and within minutes everything had calmed down and I was

out of the bathroom! It was amazing! Now, on the rare occasion that this

happens I do my LL breaths and I have the same reaction every time.

I really tried to put this delicately because I don't know who is reading it,

your welcome to email me privately if you would like to know more. I just

didn't want to offend anyone.

Rashelle, you have no idea what a godsend this is for me....I've struggled for

years with this problem and have even been in the hospital with it and no one

can figure it out. Yet in one day you changed my entire system with your

incredible LifeLift. For me it truly is a Life Lift!

Thank you a million times over for your post!!

I just had my 3rd baby 5 months ago. I found out during that pregnancy that I

had a prolapsed uterus.

I have been doing other aerobic breathing programs for 7 years but just

started LL a week ago. I have noticed that I feel tons of pressure down there

again

like I did while I was pregnant. So, I have a feeling that what I am doing

while doing LL is not good for it right now.

I would like to try what you are saying but don't quite get it. Before the

PAH how are you lifting? Is it your whole abdominal area or down lower? (c:

What all is considered intra abdominal pressure?

Hi ,

Intra-abdonimal pressure is simply extra downward pressure in the

abdominal region. Coughing, straining from constipation, extra

weight, can put an added strain on the pelvic muscles that help

support the internal organs.

When doing Life Lift, I am not changing the breath at all. The lift

comes after the pah, just like Rashelle demonstrates. The only thing

I am doing differently is tightening my pelvic muscles (the same

muscles you would use to try to stop the flow of urine) before the

pah instead of after the lift.

Since the purpose of the Pah (correct me if I'm wrong) is to empty

your lungs before the lift, it is also possible that just slowing

down the pah could eliminate any pressure. I haven't tried this

myself - maybe Rashelle could give you some input on this.

I have also added a couple of exercises to my LL routine that help to

strenghten the pelvic area.
