what Dip ROM certification is? And who would I need to contact about

getting it?

Thanks for your help.

Hi ,

We are looking to launch a trial run of two modules of the course later this

year. If the uptake is sufficient we will be looking to a full launch in 2006.

The first two modules will be:

Telemedicine

Incident and response planning

Each module is broken down into 4 taught units and 1 assessment unit.

The full syllabus is:

Health and wellbeing of the remote worker

Occupational health

Remote environment medicine

Telemedicine

Dive medicine

Tropical medicine

Aeromedicine

Trauma and medical emergencies

Incident and response planning

Evidence and research in remote medicine

Clinical systems and records

Tactical medicine

Expedition and wilderness medicine

Principles of medical education

The first ten modules are compulsory and two of the final four are options.

After completing this part, you would be required to attend a four day

residential in Edinburgh and if you are successful in those assessments there

would be a Diploma ceremony at the College on the fifth day.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

,

Yes, the first part of the course is distance learning delivered via the

internet. The four days will turn into five days if you pass and want to attend

the diploma ceremony.
