Guest guest
--- Ya probably. Sounds good. I wish that was me. Some women on this board drop body fat so quickly. I wish I could. I maybe drop 1% every 3-4 weeks. I am at about 28% WHat is your secret? I'm jealous : ) In , " <sis1975@y...> " <sis1975@y...> wrote: > I got on the scale this morning and I have gained back the 1.5 pounds > I lost. 2 weeks ago my body fat was 23% with calipers. Guest guest
I don't know if this is the secret or not but 2 weeks ago I started taking the flax seed oil liquid. I take 2 tablespoons in the morning and 1 at night. Sometimes I forget. I was going to add extra cardio to speed it up but this week I only did one extra one. Good luck. > > I got on the scale this morning and I have gained back the 1.5 > pounds > > I lost. 2 weeks ago my body fat was 23% with calipers. Today it > was > > 20.8%. Guest guest
I don't know if this is really etched in stone, and I could be nit- picking like heck, but I did read that one ought to spread their intake of Flax Oil throughout the day, i.e. one in the am, one afternoon, one in the evening. (Was that a run-on sentence or what? ) One T for ever 45lbs of bodyweight. Anyhow, that's how I take mine. If it's working for you, then great!! I've noticed a difference too, mostly my skin is much softer. On another note, today, for the first time, I noticed the dimples on the front of my thighs are diminishing! Guest guest
Yes, I read you were supposed to spread it out too. I need 3 spoonfuls. I do 2 in the morning because I don't want to bring the oily bottle to work. > > > > I got on the scale this morning and I have gained back the 1.5 > > > pounds > > > > I lost. 2 weeks ago my body fat was 23% with calipers. Guest guest
Oh fun . Wouldn't that be a blast, having that bottle in the 'fridge at work so everyone can say, " What the heck is this? " Understood. Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations on your 1 1/2 lb. loss and 3 % fat loss!!!!! I think that is marvelous!!!!! Please don't be discouraged, you're doing soooo good!!!!! Losing body fat is better than losing weight, however we all love to see those lbs. off don't we?????? :-) A lot of people measure inch loss rather than fat loss or just go by the changes that they are seeing in the mirror and in the way that their clothes are fitting. Keep doing what you're doing and drink lots of water.... your body changes are on the way!!!! Love, Liz -- On Thu, 08 Jan 2004 16:36:58 -0000 " watson_laura " <Smoochums@...> writes: Hi everyone. I have been doing lifelift for a month. I didn't really get serious about it until the 1st of January though. On the first of January I sat down and wrote out some goals for myself, and then started really trying to acheive those goals, with exercise and following a locarb eating program. Question. I have one of those scales that shows body fat %. I weighed myself for the first time today, and I have only lost 1.5 pounds. My body fat went from 41% to 38%. I was kind of discouraged to see I only lost 1.5 pds. Can u tell me if measuring body fat is a better way to gage. I know that muscle weighs more than fat, so i guess this is normal. I haven't noticed a difference in my clothes fitting. But I really just got started. Also I have every tape, and i alternate them everyday, but I have 2 problem areas I really want to work on. Can U guys recommend some targeted exercises? I would really like to reduce my bust if possible. Also, I have some back fat that I would like to get rid of. If u can recommend some positions, just let me know which tape they r on. Thanx everyone! I only have 33.5 pds to loose to reach my goal! Guest guest
I agree with Liz. These are wonderful changes and you should be thrilled. There are so many ways to measure your success. Some prefer the body fat loss, some the weight loss and some the inch loss. Others may prefer just measuring their success by the way their clothes fit. Still others by the way they feel over all. That is my preference. I have worked with people who see dramatic changes in the way they look and feel, yet the tape measure only shows a small loss and the scale may even show a smaller loss. One reason for this is that yes, muscle does weigh more than fat but also as our bodies shrink we are usually only measuring in a few areas, not each and every area. You may be feeling like you are shrinking, look like you are shrinking and yet if you are only measuring 5 or 6 areas you will miss the fact that you have most likely lost several more inches from the unmeasured places. I suppose this is why my favorite way to measure your success is how your clothes fit and how you feel over all. It is a good idea to write down all of the changes you see. Sleeping better? Write it down. More energy? write it down. Feeling happier, healthier, stronger? Write it down. Is your skin feeling tighter? Write it down. Skin looking brighter and more firm? Write it down. These are all measurable changes and worth noting. This will also help to keep you more motivated. Pay attention to all of your triumphs and give yourself a big pat on the back for all of your effort. In a very short time you will be able to see all of the changes that have taken place because you cared enough about yourself to stay with something that can change your health for the rest of your life.
