Guest guest
Deb, Thanks Soapnuts library (I don't have the address for this site.) I guess no one knows anything about body butters. Have you ever used them Deb? What is the main point of them . I am trying to find out about them. Guest guest
I make the more solid lotion bar and the massage bar which has no beeswax in it. the reason for the softness of the massage bar is so it will melt on contact with the skin but not drizzle all over the place like a massage oil would. I am having difficulty though in the packaging on these as I have tried molding them in my heart mold and then placing in cello and they make a mess if they move in the bag. Guest guest
Okay I want to make a body butter with shea butter and a few oils. For cracked dry feet and to help scarring, two separate if i have to. I saw the other day a few oils that were good for joints and now for the life of me I cant find the list again what oils are good for joints? Guest guest
evening primrose has been credited for that in some studies... emu is very popular for that. tea tree black pepper eucalyptus camphor peppermint wintergreen* you have to be very careful with wintergreen however. it can build up in your system and cause problems - basil/sage comfrey ginger red pepper lavender rosemary - vitamin E/A avocado oil - high in the above vitamins something for a barrier like beeswax or lanolin if you're not allergic - a little lanolin goes a long way..you want something to keep the moisture in... to help them get in shape, it 's good to soak your feet, you could clean them with a nice sugar or salt scrub, and this is where you may want to use different ingredients from the leave- on butter. visit the problem areas with a pumice stone... then use your foot butter. you may want to look into adding MSM for that also HTH Willow --- JILL <mesavalleycandleco@...> wrote: > Okay I want to make a body butter with shea butter > and a few oils. > For cracked dry feet and to help scarring, two > separate if i have to. > I saw the other day a few oils that were good for > joints and now for > the life of me I cant find the list again what oils > are good for joints? > >

Guest guest
MSM stands for Methylsulfoneylmethane, a sulfur compound needed for reducing inflamation and for joint and tissue repair. Guest guest
Hi Deb! MSM stands for Methylsulfonylmethane otherwise known as Organic Sulphur. It's been known to really help people who have joint problems. Here's a bit about it. http://www.msmguide.com/ MSM, methylsulfonylmethane (METH-əl-sul-FON-il-METH-ane) provides sulfur, a vital building block of joints, cartilage, skin, hair and nails, and methyl groups, which support many vital biochemical processes in the body, including energy production. MSM is a naturally-occurring nutrient found in small amounts of many foods. As a dietary supplement, MSM is synthesized. When made correctly, it is identical to that found in nature. MSM can be taken alone or in combination with other joint health supplements, such as glucosamine and chondroitin. And then there's always good ol' Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylsulfonylmethane Hope that helps some! Dawn PS - if you do use some to put in a lotion, make sure the water is HOT when you dissolve it. I made that mistake when I tried it the first time. Lukewarm doesn't cut it.. needs to be hot. ________________________________ From: chardeb@... Date: Sat, 8 Dec 2007 14:15:43 -0600 Subject: Re: body butter Hi, Can someone please tell me what MSM is? Guest guest
Hi, would you mind letting us know where you get your body butter from. I'm interested in the soap instructions. I've tried to make a creamy liquid soap but haven't had success. I haven't had the nerves to try the cream soap.
