Really sage advice Kajay. I like the term "wounded warriors." Some of us who have been through the worst muck, really are warriors and we've learned. Al-anon is a great program. My husband and I have been involved with CoDa for years, although I qualified for Al-anon because my younger brother was alcoholic and drug addict. But CoDa fit better for me. I can't say enough about these programs. I don't know if Cecilia's husband is an alcoholic, but so many families pass this type of behavior along, especially without intensive treatment for it. My husband #2 was a rager... he drank very little, but I had red flags come up on the first "date." He went ballistic over a traffic situation where there was no real threat. This was the first red flag, and he continued to go ballistic over everything, especially with my son. I was so unaware back then. I should have said "no thank you." But married him anyway, even though I really didn't like him. Now that's dumb! Even more important might be to set up, even with what small amount of money you have, a separate bank account. I am married to a man whom I know - absolutely - would never hit me, no matter what happened, no matter how bad things are.Honey why do YOU feel ashamed of something someone else did? Has

your hubby ever done anything violent, or has he ever behaved in a way that you knew if you did not please him, or your children didn't, he was

capable of violence? Even if this is an isolated incident, and even if he goes to counseling and does everything right, that act was a warning, and if he gets away with it, even if he is held accountable for his behavior, somewhere inside his brain, he will think he can get away with it again, whether by charm, money, position, or pure emotional domination.

Here's a bit of my story that might, I hope, be helpful. I WAS married to a man whom I knew would hurt me and, after he asked for a divorce but asked me to file, threatened me if I didn't file, raped me for filing, saying I had broken my promise never to leave him. No one would have ever guessed - but me - that he was capable of that. The thing is, I had warning! When we were dating, he was angry with someone who was not even there. I was standing in a garage next to a hanging plant. Before I knew it, the plant exploded right next to my head. He also told me that he had often thought of drowning his ex on their fishing trips. So I married him and went hunting and fishing with him for many years. Now that was crazy!!!I had no idea how his mental manipulation affected my attitude, behavior, and health until I got into Al-Anon, which is for

people affected by the disease of alcoholism. With two parents, two grandparents, and three out of four kids in my family who have all done time as active alcoholics, including me, I was definitely qualified, and boy was I glad! Al-Anon taught me how to separate myself from him. I will give you two examples from my life: 1. When people asked me where we wanted to go out to eat, I hastily told them where he liked to go, and knew I would pay for it - with his sullen silence and ignoring me, even in front of others, if I said we would like anywhere else. 2. Even long after the divorce, when we were dating, my current sweet husband reached to turn the heater in the car on for me and his hand hit the rear-view mirror as it came off the steering wheel. I said "Sorry!" Crazy again!

I sure like to think I have a better grip on what is safe or not, what is a pattern of violence or not, and what I am and am not willing or able to tolerate in exchange for whatever that first marriage actually was.Even if you are short on cash, you have internet access. You might find something useful in these search hits for the types of emotional abuse. There are actually several categories as defined by Beverly Engel in her wonderful out of print book, Partners in Recovery. She defines other types of abuse as well, but for me, seeing that little tiny book define what in my life were daily events as emotional abuse was sobering, and helped me to make some hard choices for myself. All this said, the wisdom of those in this group who love you and who have advised you is profound, and

mine is only one possible set of suggestions or solutions. Only you are in a position to decide what is best for you. kajay From: Cecilia Borg <ceciliaborg@...> "bird mites " <bird mites > Sent: Thursday, December 29, 2011 1:16 PM Subject: Re: Kajay / jdavid Protocol

One of the beauties of this group is that we are not selling anything or pushing any particular product. What works for one, doesn't always do the job for others... this is a great list and I know many of these things work! Thank you for all your time and effort in putting together this handy list .

You also got it right on the Itraconazole... the pharmacy wanted $1,000 for a one month supply. I said "no thank you." Aandraya suggested I try some other avenues to try to get it cheaper which I'll do.
