I recently purchase Xtreme Kleen to help, but i am confused since it says not to put on clothes and to use only on hard surfaces. Not sure if i have the correct product. Shanispirations uses this product, but not sure how. From the label, it seems that it would be toxic if put in laundry. Any feedback is appreciated. thank you------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi , This what I use -- 1 cup of Purex or whatever laundry detergent you want to use -- some say Arm & Hammer works well, 1 cup of Borax (in a white box), 3/4 cup of Lysol Complete (it is orange colored), and top it off with 3/4 cup of ammonia. Add this and allow the machine to aggitate, then put clothes in, let them wash about half way through cycle and allow them to SOAK for about 30 min. or so. Then I add 1 cup of Downy to the rinse cycle. It has been working for me pretty well as I am not having an acute infestation right now. When I was in the middle of an infestation I had to keep throwing out clothes and buying new ones also. Now I am down to about 3 pairs of pants, 5 shirts, 2 socks, etc. I wash clothes every day now. Good luck! On Sun, Dec 18, 2011 at 9:37 AM, jdavid7476 <jdavid7476@...> wrote: Hi All. I am having a very difficult time washing my clothes so they are bug free. Guest guest
Hi Xtreme Klee is for carpets I think Shan said. . She said it works well I rememb er I looked up pruducts from a netsite that found simalar products by clasification . it said A-33* was simalar & when I compred ingredients they were the same except Xtreme Kleen costs 80.00 a A-33 costs forty cents per packet that you add 1 gallon of water to . It is a vetnary disinfectent. I would not want it on my clothes if I could help it , may be after I used Xtreme in the wash I would rewash well with a small load , using with regular Arm & Hammer POWDERED Laundry Detergent . One poster said she used bioclean & turned her clothe inside out so it would wash the seams well ,then dried & hung up with a plastic garbage bag pulled up over each oufit & tied the draw string around the hanger at the top . I myself boiled all my clothes daily in a 16 qt steamer pot full of water & 2 bricks on the clothes & a lid with 2 clorox bottles of water on top to keep the lid down as the clothes try to rise up when boiling . Boiling is so sure & safe. , I did it right after wearing. God bless you , Bill . . ... ps here is the ingredients of both products Xtreme vs. A-33 * #1. XTREME CLEEN! Guest guest
Hi , Take time to boill all your clothing that can stand it to get a head start. Then apply treatments in the wash. Big difference. Love and light, From: jdavid7476 <jdavid7476@...>bird mites Sent: Sunday, December 18, 2011 9:37 AMSubject: Xtreme Kleen Hi All. Guest guest
I never used it. Borax, Arm & Hammer, vinegar, ammonia, hot water, never worked for me. It wasn't until i used Oxy Clean powder that my clothes became bug free in all temperature water. My daughter has no bites but can feel crawling only in clothes or bed linen and she always complained until Oxy. Also look for detergents that contain enzymes. I use Tide HE liquid but other Tides also have enzymes. I also stopped using any fragranced fabric softeners. > > Hi All. I am having a very difficult time washing my clothes so they are bug free. Guest guest
I used to soak my clothes overnight or all day, in addition to Borax and Epsom Salts used with detergent. Since moving a couple of times, my clothes are fine - the same ones that used to itch and sting. If you are worried about the Xtreme Kleen, try it in a small load with old stuff. Then run a hot water cycle with nothing in it, to get rid of all chemicals. I have seen Shaninsprirations's site as well. What a lot of work to stay and fight. > > Hi All.
