Hello again

Our appreciation is extended to Ines Velez, DDS, MS for contributing this case. History:

A 47-year-old white man with a history of obsessive-compulsive disorder

and Tourette syndrome. Patient is a heavy smoker and drinker. He is currently taking the antipsychotic medication Seroquel. Extraoral exam: Within normal limits (WNL). Intraoral exam: The patient is partially edentulous. He has poor oral health, caries, radicular rests, and severe periodontal disease and gingivitis. Tongue deformity and ulcers are noted. An area of exposed, whitish hard tissue in the anterior mandible is evident. The patient stated that he did the extractions himself. Anterior lower mucosa has puffy swelling and bleeds easily.
