I want to share this- from pink bookfor childrenuse flavoured topical anesthesia- 20% benzocainechoice of anesthetic agent1st choice -lignocaine 2% with 1:80 000 adrenaline2nd choice- prilocaine 3% with felypressin (gives less

profound anesthesia)dosagelignocaine - max dose =4.4 mg/kgprilocaine- max dose = 6.6mg/kgin both cases this equates to max 2.2 ml for a 10kg,1.5yr old and 4.4 ml for a 20kg, 5yr
