smoking status should be checked/recorded every year. (so 12 months)1. The practice will record the smoking status of all patients over the age of 12.2. Patients who previously have reported they have never smoked should be opportunistically screenedevery 5 years.3. Smokers and ex-smokers should be asked about their smoking status annually.4. Smokers should be asked annually if they have considered quitting.5.
