Guest guest
Well I hope someone gives the right answer, because when I practiced in Belarus we were taught to show the patient how to brush teeth, floss and instruct on better oral hygiene whilst he was in the dental chair. I do agree that decision making anD consent should be taken b4 seating the patient but we r talking of dental health education, please someone should correct us and let's conclude what is the correct answer!Sent from my BlackBerry wireless device from MTNFrom: "Enigma" <wiseguy944@...>Sender: Date: Tue, 27 Dec 2011 12:47:31 -0000< >Reply Subject: Re: dental health education hi hurairai have read somewhere that decision making part for the patient and discussion should be before seating the patient in dental chair. i think 1 is not correct> > Â > >Many other types of storage liquids have been tested such as powdered milk, Enfamil, Gatorade, and contact lens solution. Guest guest
Dear Dr. huraira,The answer is "dentist counselling patient in a dental chair".Now with respect to your doubt of taking consent, when the patient makes an appointment and follows it, or he comes at will for a check up, he automatically gives an 'informed consent'. So we're through with our doubt about the whole consent thing. A more elaborate written consent should be taken when an extensive procedure like extraction or RCT or something similar is performed where patient needs to know the pros and cons of the entire treatment given.Hope I have been able to solve your query.Regards,Ashish.Sent on my BlackBerry® from VodafoneFrom: huraira2002@...Sender: Date: Thu, 29 Dec 2011 12:46:32 +0000< >Reply Subject: Re: dental health education Well I hope someone gives the right answer, because when I practiced in Belarus we were taught to show the patient how to brush teeth, floss and instruct on better oral hygiene whilst he was in the dental chair.
