Guest guest
Jerry In the past I have needed to urgently contact a close relative of mine as my Dad passed away. Through a bit of work by the guys on the list we tracked him down and I got to talk to his boss and get him to call me back in UK. I was very very impressed in the way the guys worked hard for me at a very difficult & sad time for me. I could not (and still can't) thank tem enough. I don't think that we should just stop doing this in case someone does not want to be found. That is not our fault although I do sympathise with this kind of situation. If you don't want to be found I am sure that you can take steps to prevent it happening? After all, we are not trying to be Remote Medics Re-united are we? I am sure that common sense would prevail. Comsec is indeed important to all of us. Sincerely Rod Eglin ___________________________________________________________ Book yourself something to look forward to in 2005. Guest guest
I agree with what you said Jerry. I think that if somebody does not want to be found they would take steps to not be found. I had put a message out looking for somebody earlier this week out of pure desperation. It is out of character for this person to just drop off the face of the earth. If his job werent so dangerous and if there wasnt a war going on then I wouldnt have asked for help. I simply just want to know if this person is still alive. I dont think that is too much to ask for and I dont think its abuse of the site. An occasional welfare check is a way to show that some people do care about others....
