Hi Mark,

Not to say there is not one but I have not found any Remote Medic

courses in the US outside of the courses some companies provide there

employees. The next best thing I have found is the USCG Medical Person

In Charge (MPIC) course. This is a two week ship captain's medical

ticket. They are required to have this ticket in order to maintain

their rating for certain size vessels. It is kind of like a two week

crash RN/Medic course. They cover basic first aid to suturing to pain

control etc. You can find this course in several locations in the US.

A general search on the internet should be successful.

sorry for being a slacker... here is the site..

the class i am looking at is nov 7-11 2005. it is a fully accredited dmt course

but at the site they have other offerings also. i have had friends go with

these guys and they say the course is great so i am spending some con ed $ on it

for myself. you can not beat the location.
