I am posting this because some US medics on the list may also be police

officers. Also, non-US citizens should note the salary and contract terms for

this job, as it may be helpful in negotiating salary for work with a similar

risk profile (such as medic on a CP team). If they offer you less than

120k/year, you might want to pull this out and start haggleing.

International Police Officers

DynCorp International FZ-LLC (DIFZ) seeks law enforcement personnel to

participate in an U.S. Department of State sponsored international effort to

re-establish police and justice functions in post-conflict Iraq.

Interested applicants must be active duty, retired or recently separated sworn

police officers. US citizenship is required.

Compensation Package starts at $120,632 per year.

Qualifications

* US Citizen

* Applicant must have a total of eight (8) years work experience with at

least five (5) years as a sworn civilian law enforcement officer

* Actively serving sworn or recently separated (within 9 years) law

enforcement officers

* Ability to communicate in English

* Valid US driver's license with driving experience

* Unblemished background

* Excellent health

* Valid U.S. passport

* Must be able to qualify with a 9mm pistol

Additional Details

Up to 1000 civilian police advisors will be deployed to Iraq to help organize

civilian law enforcement agencies.

Liaison Officers will work with Iraqi criminal justice organizations at the

national, provincial, and municipal levels and mentor personnel at all levels of

the Iraqi law enforcement system.

Contract length is one year. This is an armed, plainclothes mission.

Compensation Package starts at $120,632 per year.

All lodging, meals, and transportation as well as logistical, technical and

administrative support is provided at no cost to the officer.
