Neil,

I was one of those hundred people who contacted Barbara for further information

about her model!

My request for help was around profiling.I am interested to know how you worked

out the four categories of need. What exactly are the SMR s and IMD that you

obtained from Public Health and Local Authority Poverty profiling? Did you use a

specific tool or guide to work out the target caseloads? Caseload weighting is

an issue that we are particularly struggling with as we want to keep it separate

from more detailed caseload profiling and work out a formula that is as simple

and objective as possible. Any further guidance or information that you have

would be greatly appreciated.
