Guest guest
Happy Holidays folks! We had a great Christmas this year! We all got spoiled rotten! As a matter of fact we got so much stuff we had to rearrange our house and take some stuff to Goodwill! But it was really nice. My husband comes from a not so happy childhood and he was overwhelmed with happiness this year! It was so nice to see. I was really bad though! I think I gained a pound and a half! OOPS!!! I'm going to get back on track though. As soon as we get all the bad stuff out of our house!!! Which will hopefully be this week. I really want to start back hard core on the first Monday of the new year. I'm going to try to be good for the next week but I know I won't be as strong as I need to be to officially start BLFing it! But I will I know this program works and I know I can do it! I just have to be in the right frame of mind or I will doom myself! Anyway I hope everyone had a great holiday, whichever one you celebrate! Jenni -- In , " fubugirl_15_15 " <fubugirl_15_15@y...> wrote: > Merry Christmas everyone. Merry Christmas. 5:13-16, Matt 18:19-20 Is any of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and annoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. . . . The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. 5:13-16 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Guest guest
Today we are decorating our Christmas tree--we usually do it around the 15th of December. Forrest and I started collecting the lighted christmas village houses when (now 21) was a baby. We have villages in 6 rooms of our house and there are 3 villages in our living room alone-if you press me I'll admit to having about 70 houses and 4 ships. We set up the village on black friday and they stay up until February break (I need several days to get them and all the accessories packed away. On Christmas eve we go to church. When we get home we fill the stockings with fruit, a few sweets and one small gift. My girls have never raced downstairs to tear through their gift unwrapping--they know that first we do a special christmas breakfast, talk about the meaning of christmas and start preparing christmas dinner. Finally, about 10 am we start the gift giving. We generally do about half and stop work some more on dinner, do another gift or two and eat dinner. Some years we have stopped at that point to play games, watch movies (inevitably there are at least 2 movie DVDs--years past they were videos--that someone has received). Some years we put off unwrapping the last few gifts until the next day, other years we do the last gifts in the evening of christmas day. We found early on that we needed to keep the day low key or it was a disaster for Sheila (19, with Ds and 3 life threatening medical conditions along with multiple other medical problems). There have been two years, when christmas was on Sunday, that we did church in the am, visited and put a christmas program on for my mother in a nursing facility. Finally got home late afternoon so my girls opted to do christmas the next day. After all our ancestors who kept it doing for 12 days may have known something we've forgotten. ;-) Our " baby " Colleen (15) has been enjoying watching me go " retro " this year. We have dragged out decorations we haven't used in years. We went last week to a xmas concert we used to attend yearly. I've dragged out christmas records she hasn't heard (except for individual tunes on the oldies station-LOL) Forrest and I celebrate our anniversary on New Years day, so we both take the week off right after christmas and do celebrate all week long. Guest guest
And it is so warm on the east coast of the US- global warming for you in reverse? Hmmmm interesting. Xmas here was really good. We tried to unconvince about Santa, but she remains steadfast in her belief. She got an Ipod (had an Mp3, but couldnt find it- found it this am...). She got the Hicks CD and a Jetter - NY Yankee hottie- calender, clothes and lots of chocolate. My son tried to unconvince about santa and he wasnt sucessful. Het got a very cool digital camera that does amazing stuff that I will never figure out. Yesterday morning at church during the regular service, played " The First Noel " by herself on the violin for the prelude. She was very nervous, but amazing. At 8:00PM we had our very peaceful, beautiful candle service. We then had some church 'family' over after and it was all so nice. Today is a big 'chilin' day and we have the week off which we really need for much needed rest. Hope everyone's Christmas was merry and the new year brings peace and good health.
