Happy Holidays folks! We had a great Christmas this year! We all

got spoiled rotten! As a matter of fact we got so much stuff we had

to rearrange our house and take some stuff to Goodwill! But it was

really nice. My husband comes from a not so happy childhood and he

was overwhelmed with happiness this year! It was so nice to

see. :) I was really bad though! I think I gained a pound and a

half! OOPS!!! I'm going to get back on track though. As soon as

we get all the bad stuff out of our house!!! Which will hopefully

be this week. I really want to start back hard core on the first

Monday of the new year. I'm going to try to be good for the next

week but I know I won't be as strong as I need to be to officially

start BLFing it! But I will I know this program works and I know I

can do it! I just have to be in the right frame of mind or I will

doom myself! Anyway I hope everyone had a great holiday, whichever

one you celebrate! :)

Jenni :)

Great picture! Love those names - /. My name is O'Neal Gray. My daughter's name is .

Top 'o the mornin' to ya!

Merry Christmas. 5:13-16, Matt 18:19-20

Is any of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and annoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. . . . The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. 5:13-16

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matt. 18:19-20

LOL - thanks.

was named for my Maternal Grandfather - (O') Donovan from County Cork, his Paternal Uncle - Kimball and my dad .

Lena was named because we liked the name and it went well with and Lena for her Paternal Great Grandmother, which unbeknownst to us, carried on a tradition of a "Lena" in each generation for several generations.

Merry Christmas to you and !

Good Morning and Merry Christmas :)

It is 6am and all are asleep !!!!! I am up playing Santa before all get up.

My sister Beth (BIL & Son Jack age 3) arrived Thursday Morning, mind you they

left their home in Nashville Wed afternoon for a 3 HR drive here and only

made it half way because of our winter ice that was falling fast. Mike arrived

Friday morning (4am, it took him 6 hours instead of 3 coming from Nashville)

We have been covered in ice/snow with only 20 sand trucks to Memphis's name

for 3 days. None of this mess with melt until Sunday when we are supposed to

hit 40 degrees. This white Christmas is long over due, its been so many years

since we've had one. I just figured my Mom and Dad are playing with us now

and trying to keep me distracted ............... and I am lol

The breakfast casseroles are in the oven, my 2 older kids and their families

will arrive here at 8am so I am resting and waiting for the festivities to

start here lol Around noon we (all 13 of us lol) will get out in the cold and

go to my MIL's house for Christmas there. Every yr. she goes wayyyyyyyyy over

board on dinner so Im pretty excited if only for that reason. After the

Christmas festivities at my MIL's house, my brother and his daughter will

attempt

to come in from Cincinnati, uggggg right through Kentucky is my BIGGEST

worry, I hope all (from the list) from there are OK, Ive been watching the news

and humbled myself after I saw the mess they were in. Soooooooo we will have

Christmas again ...... if my brother arrives tonight :)

Tomorrow Beth and I will shop lol

I hope all have a Merry Christmas!!!! And I will share that the presence of

my Lord is so over powering right now that Im doing OK with missing my Mom and

all of the yrs past traditions and memories. Our candlelight service at

church last night really helped put all of this in the right perspective.

Today we are decorating our Christmas tree--we usually do it around the 15th of

December. Forrest and I started collecting the lighted christmas village houses

when (now 21) was a baby. We have villages in 6 rooms of our house and

there are 3 villages in our living room alone-if you press me I'll admit to

having about 70 houses and 4 ships. We set up the village on black friday and

they stay up until February break (I need several days to get them and all the

accessories packed away.

On Christmas eve we go to church. When we get home we fill the stockings with

fruit, a few sweets and one small gift. My girls have never raced downstairs to

tear through their gift unwrapping--they know that first we do a special

christmas breakfast, talk about the meaning of christmas and start preparing

christmas dinner. Finally, about 10 am we start the gift giving. We generally do

about half and stop work some more on dinner, do another gift or two and eat

dinner. Some years we have stopped at that point to play games, watch movies

(inevitably there are at least 2 movie DVDs--years past they were videos--that

someone has received). Some years we put off unwrapping the last few gifts until

the next day, other years we do the last gifts in the evening of christmas day.

We found early on that we needed to keep the day low key or it was a disaster

for Sheila (19, with Ds and 3 life threatening medical conditions along with

multiple other medical problems). There have been two years, when christmas was

on Sunday, that we did church in the am, visited and put a christmas program on

for my mother in a nursing facility. Finally got home late afternoon so my girls

opted to do christmas the next day. After all our ancestors who kept it doing

for 12 days may have known something we've forgotten. ;-)

Our " baby " Colleen (15) has been enjoying watching me go " retro " this year. We

have dragged out decorations we haven't used in years. We went last week to a

xmas concert we used to attend yearly. I've dragged out christmas records she

hasn't heard (except for individual tunes on the oldies station-LOL)

Forrest and I celebrate our anniversary on New Years day, so we both take the

week off right after christmas and do celebrate all week long. LOL

Hi Liz,

How very nice to hear from you after such a long time!! I hope that the

physical problems that you were having the last time you and I corresponded are

now a thing of the past and that 2007 will be a much better year for you than

2006 was!!!

Merry Chrstmas and Happy New Year to you, too, sweetheart. I am glad to know

that your family is doing pretty well.

I am so happy to hear the news about Kista. Good luck to her with her pregnancy

and I hope that her child will be born healthy and happy next summer. Please

tell your sister that I will be praying for only good things to happy for her,

her unborn child, and her family!! Please know that I am also praying for you

and that I have never stopped praying for you!!!

Please don't be a stranger around here any more, and, once again, it is so

wonderful to hear from you once again!!

Love always,

Pat

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone,

And it is so warm on the east coast of the US- global warming for you in

reverse? Hmmmm interesting.

Xmas here was really good. We tried to unconvince about Santa, but

she remains steadfast in her belief. She got an Ipod (had an Mp3, but couldnt

find it- found it this am...). She got the Hicks CD and a

Jetter - NY Yankee hottie- calender, clothes and lots of chocolate.

My son tried to unconvince about santa and he wasnt sucessful. Het

got a very cool digital camera that does amazing stuff that I will never

figure out.

Yesterday morning at church during the regular service, played " The

First Noel " by herself on the violin for the prelude. She was very nervous,

but amazing. At 8:00PM we had our very peaceful, beautiful candle service.

We then had some church 'family' over after and it was all so nice.

Today is a big 'chilin' day and we have the week off which we really need

for much needed rest.

Hope everyone's Christmas was merry and the new year brings peace and good

health.

Mom to DS, 16 and 12- Brooklyn, USA
