It's for sure Le Fort I fracture :-)

Le Fort I fractures (horizontal) may result from a force of injury directed low on the maxillary alveolar rim in a downward direction. It is also known as a Guerin fracture or 'floating palate', and usually involves the inferior nasal aperture. The fracture extends from the nasal septum to the lateral pyriform rims, travels horizontally above the teeth apices, crosses below the zygomaticomaxillary junction, and traverses the pterygomaxillary junction to interrupt the pterygoid plates.

Kind Regards,

Elvan

Hi,I think the question here it's not the tooth bearing area but the whole mailla as balsam said, therefore, it's definitely not Le fort I fracture. In Mater Dentistry Vol. 1 p.136 it says Le fort III , what do you think guys?Ahmed. From: elvan pala <dentelvan@...> " " < > Sent:

its lefort 3 maxilla moves away from SKULL IF WE focous on SKULL then zygoma

dosnt come in skull and also either its Lefort 1 2 or 3 they classify it in some

books as mid face fracture and some as maxillary fractures so question is

MAXILLA moves away from skull for me keeping skull as reference and taking

lefort as maxillary fracture lines its LEFORT 3
