Hello Dr.Iqbal              This is Usha n i graduated from India.ur scenario was same as mine.ur degree certificate holds only ur first name wit initials whereas ul b entering ur expanded first n last name in ur ore application(like how its given in ur passport).it didnt create any problem for my friend who applied one year back.but for me they asked for a proof that both the names are the same.Indian embassy will provide such a certificate but gdc refused to accept it.so you have to approach a solicitor(notary public) and get an affidavit confirming that both the names implies to u(i also took an oath before them that both are my names only.Because if ther is any problem in the feature, these solicitors will b responsible).they usualy charge from £60 to £100 for issuing such an affidavit..if ur In India u can get this done using ur local notary piblic..for some applicants this issue goes unnoticed.its upto u to decide .Hope my information helps.tak care

UshaDevi.

Hai NaseemaI have the same issue. As advised to me by my relatives It can get solved with the help of a solicitor. I haven't done yet for my name. But I will be doing it soon. So nothing to worry, u could get it done as well.RegardsSafaOn Dec 16, 2011, at 11:44 AM, h a iqbal <iqb_h_a@...> wrote:
