Guest guest
You are doing great! I love the refloxology tape too.Connie :-) Interesting results Well, this is only my third day doing life lift, but I have noticed a reduced appetite. I really noticed it last night. I always get the munchies right before bed. I have read that it is not good to eat within 3 hours of bed, so I have decided to give up that evening snack. I really really wanted something, but after I did the reflexology tape, my cravings were gone. I have decided not to get on the scale more than once a week. ITS KILLING ME! So I don't know of any immediate results, but i'm chugging along. I also figured out what was causing my headache. I was clenching my jaws when I would hold in, now that I have quit, the headaches are gone. Have a great day!

Guest guest
Tamara,What ADHD meds was the child on/off? and what amount? Thanks for reporting the interesting phenomena. On Wed, Jul 28, 2010 at 10:31 PM, TD Siminow <siminowdt@...> wrote: One of my clients had such an interesting response to a pharmaceutical that I want to share it with the group for future reference. I have been seeing a 12 y.o. autistic boy whose training goal is calming/relaxation. He is on several medications, and I have not been certain that I would be able to do much good in the face of his mixture of meds. He has consistently shown no alpha blocking, with a huge spike right at 10Hz and a similar harmonic band at 20 Hz, plus lots of extra beta 20-28 Hz. Then, last Saturday, a different brain showed up in my office. His 20 hz band was missing, and his eyes-open alpha was at P3/P4 and nowhere else. Even the other bits of high beta were reduced a bit. Behaviorally, he was more cheerful, he made rudimentary conversation, and he even reached out to hold my hand for about a minute in the middle of the session. Afterward, I commented to his mother about the remarkable change in how his brain looked and in how he behaved, and she told me that they'd taken him off his ADHD meds that week. Today, he continued to look improved. That's not to say there aren't still training goals--his high beta at P4 and T4 attest to that. But, he sat patiently through his training and had none of the disruptive behavior he usually demonstrates. I asked him at the end of the session how he felt, and he looked up at me and said " I feel happy. " You could've knocked me over with a feather, and his mother was equally surprised, saying that if you ask him how he feels, he will as often as not ask you to respond on his behalf. His mother also informed me that they used what I told them about the changes observed in the previous session with the boy's psychiatrist, who initially wasn't certain that eliminating the ADHD med was a good idea. The psychiatrist has decided to keep the boy off the meds for now. Neurofeedback was almost certainly not the cause of those huge changes--the meds were--but I like that the psychiatrist took what I observed seriously, and I LOVE that the boy felt happy after today's session. That's what it's all about. I share this because I am amazed that a child who was already anxious had ADHD meds introduced into his body, and I am amazed at how quickly the boy changed afterward. Guest guest
It was Focalin, though I don't know the final dosage, because the doctor had been tinkering with it and had done so as recently as May.
