Guest guest
someone asked about getting raw dairy shipped across state lines. there are amish in PA who do this among others. you can buy raw dairy for your pet from peaceful pastures in TN http://www.peacefulpastures.com/ as far as new england, one of my favorites wilton community biodynamic farm in NH. their milk is almost perfect. http://www.templewiltoncommunityfarm.org/farm_home_page.htm there are some licenced raw milk suppliers in CT. one i know is sankow's beaver brook farm in lyme ct. there are many farmers in MA who are interested in getting raw milk to people and are setting up networks. contact Regina of Rose Hill Dairy in Hardwick MA, 413-477-0011. She is someone who wants to legally sell raw milk, she could use your input or even your assistance, she is not far from you. Network with these farmers, there are more people out there either willing or even wanting to sell raw milk than most are aware, but they stay under the radar. one other suggestion is check www.localharvest.com for local farms. many have cows or goats and often have left over milk. call them and explain to them your intentions. also explain it is legal for them to sell under 5 gallons of raw milk a day in MA. One other caveat is don't just buy milk because its raw. ask about their feeding, sanitation, and husbandry practices as I mentioned in a previous post. get the best milk you can, insist on it. -joe > I LIVE IN NORTHBRIDGE MA.
