Guest guest
Good morning Connie and everyone, It's cold and rainy here. A cold front came in last night and we're expecting a rain/snow mix by this afternoon and turning to all snow by rush hour. It's about 39 right now. Maybe 1 to 3 inches by the morning, they say {I hope for more}. The high country has been getting LOTS of snow, great for he ski resorts. I didn't do anything yesterday, but tear up bread for stuffing to use at the soup kitchen for our Thanksgiving meal the Monday before. I'm not talking regular sliced bread, I'm talking the specialty breads from Panera. My hands are KILLING me! I got thru 3 LARGE {bigger than lawn and leaf bags} and have one more to go. I have one of the large Rubbermaid tubs almost full. The kittens were really curious about what was going on...LOL Anyway, I figure I should have nice thin wrists and fingies...LOL Maybe I'll get something more done today... Well, I do love bread...LOL But, it's been so long since I really had any, that it didn't bother me at all. I thought I'd be popping pieces all day too, but all I had was one small bite and that didn't even taste good...LOL Plus I knew how yucky I'd feel after eating it, so that helped. Now, I think I could live quite nicely with NEVER having it again! Kinda like I feel about spaghetti and donuts, since that's what we usually serve for our Monday meals there. And after over 5 years of going there, well, you can imagine...LOL You don't get much snow in NYC? I thought y'all got LOTS of it. Come on out here, I'll share, and even let you tear bread. Will be doing it again, before Christmas... That offer is open to any one...hehehe Love and Blessings, Kiki
Guest guest
It's 63 degrees and sunny outside -- a nice crisp autumn day! Going for a mile or so walk at lunch, love this weather! I love snow too- don't get too much of it here in NYC. > Good morning Connie and everyone, > > It's cold and rainy here. But if I just want to use the protein as a supplement to my diet how should I adjust my meals. The container says 1-4 servings daily. > On BFL, all meals should be a protein, carb and some fat. You don't need to " supplment " with protein since it is part of your meals. Colleen
Guest guest
How is that Yoga Booty Ballet? I've not tried that. Have a peaceful day, Kassia. Marla From: Kassia Sent: Monday, December 14, 2009 8:18 AM Subject: good morning! last night did pm from yoga for urban living. this morning woke up early to try to catch the delays(we had some ice) so i extended my workout. i started with yoga booty ballet hip hop abs. this one went by quick even though i must have looked hilarious trying to keep up the moves. its such a fun workout though that it isn't meant to be getting the moves perfect just move and have fun dancing. it includes ab workout.then i moved to barre work with core fusion body sculpt-upper body, thigh sculpt, and glute sculpt. lots of stretching at the end of each segment so i skipped the actual stretch on this dvd today. still planning on the gym. hopefully this morning's workout is a taste of things to come in the workout week at least LOL. work week we can't make promises, i am sure everybody is anxious for the week to be over then some tension may rise. i know i am a little bit anxious but will try to keep in focus. kassia
Guest guest
i wouldn't rate it as good or as fun as the others like bollywood sculpting or something. its more straight band work not even that much yoga. i got it for free from an SASE so i can't complain. i really just don't get rid of it b/c i like the series and hate to break up the set. kassia
Guest guest
Hey All; I am 6 years after having a partial patella/femural knee replacement and am having pain. My doc wants to do some exploration as we suspect a meniscus tear. Anyone here that is post knee replacement that has had a further surgery? I'd love to hear/read about your experiences and recovery story. Hope you're all having a pain-free day.... Kim E.
Guest guest
Hello Kim, I am over a year out on my patellofemoral knee replace in one knee and 9 months out on the other knee. The one knee I am nine months out on I might have to have one more surgery on that knee in Dec. I am having some popping in that knee. The Doctor is going to try and fix with a brace if not he will have to go back in. My left knee is doing great. Everyone once in a while it will ache and I will take a mortin or use the heating pad on it then its ok. My right however although I have very little pain that popping is driving me nuts. It's real loud and and people can hear it when I walk up the steps. I wish I could run again but my doctor and I are arguing about that. So OS say you can run and some say you can't and he is one that believes that you shouldn't run. But I am working on him and I will probably win in the end but I have to prove to him it will be helpful and not hurtful.
