Guest guest
See, it goes to show you that scales can't be trusted. You need to realize that as you are losing fat you are gaining muscle, thus the scale may not move. Muscle occupies less space than fat, so you also getting smaller and *shaplier* (Reeeeow) so those skirts, pants, (in my case Levi's) will fit better, look better, and feel more comfortable. Guest guest
Not wrong. Called the cycle of life or something like that. Praying Mantises aren't the only ones who eat their mates. What part of NC? I love the state! Took some classes at NC State at Raleigh. Lived in Spring Lake when I was a weatherman at Airfield. Western Carolina was especially beautiful with its forests. Spent a little time in Ridgecrest. Mike on 7/23/02 5:30 AM, Becca at beccageo1980@... wrote: > It rained a little bit this morning in North > Carolina. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Back from town and relieved that things seem to be settled down sowewhat from this morning. Thanks for the vote of confidense, & Mike, regarding the ethical question. There are always gray areas especially in the nature department. And NC being an execution state; well, unless ny Cochran was available, I was not sure she'd get off. , I am tickled to death about your upcoming trip to Florida. Whereabouts are you going? I used to go to ville as a child where I got my love of lizards and alligators. I adore St. Augustine and I hope to drive all the way down the A1A highway to Key West someday. Email me soon so we can natter on about it. Mike, look at the map of NC/VA along the state line and fine Danville and sville in VA, then look down in NC between them and you'll see Eden. It ain't pretty. Was a big Fieldcrest/Cannon mill town which is no longer there. If it had not been for the closeness of Greensboro, I would have gone quietly insane a long time ago. But, I found the best friend of my life here, so living here has not been a waste by any means. I just want to live near the sea. Duff, I think that was fine advice about reading over the emails before we hit send. My opinion about someone's life is not that important to impart, and what one person reads may not be the same as what another gets from it. Guest guest
Hi Becky! Sorry to hear of your Uncle! Actually, I remember you talking about him before. That Phen Phen was nasty stuff. Did you hear about that football player that recently died due, *they think*, to the amount of Xenadrine he was taking? They said he had organ failure and his temp was up to 108. (Correct me if I have any info wrong.) I won't go anywhere near that kind of stuff. Mostly due to palpitations that I have, which have greatly decreased due to BFL diet. ANYHOW...I hope everything goes well for your uncle, and he recovers well! Bless you all for being there to give him a kidney. Okay, my week is going well so far. Yesterday and today I am very tired and I don't know why. I just finished my period, so maybe that has something to do with it. Also, I think I'm getting a sinus infection which always slows me down greatly. I'm going to up my caloric intake a bit to see if that helps. About keeping in touch with your email and egroup while you are away; I went on a trip where I aimlessly drove around the country for 6 weeks. I was able to keep in touch with folks by going to local Kinko's or a cyber cafe or even the local library and long on. I don't know if your Uncle lives in a remote area, but if not, there ought to be someplace where you can log on for a bit. Will you be in northern Idaho? When I was driving around, my favorite states were Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Washington State. Have a great day!, JennA > Morning everyone, > How is the " perfect " wk going? I'm doing great! Guest guest
JennA, Thanks for the input. Yea, I heard about the guy dying. Very sad. Young and left a pregnant wife. I don't use any of the " fat burning " supps. I think the risks far outweigh the benefits..I do drink my coffee, though:) I also take antidepressants and don't want to add anything questionable. I'll be in the midwest part of Idaho, I believe. A little town on the Idaho/Oregon border called Payette. It's on the Snake river, about 70miles from Boise. Actually, we may be staying in/near Boise. I think that's where the surgery will be performed. I also find myself weaker/tireder around TTOTM. I think it's a hormone thing. Oh, the " joys " of womanhood! Hope you are not getting ill. Guest guest
I grew up in Mountlake Terrace and now live in the South end of Everett. And yup the weather in this little area is strange because of the "convergence zone." We would get dumped on by snow and you drive 5 miles and there was none...... People are starting to notice that I am not getting around anymore. Someone asked Clyde today if we got divorced and I left. How sad is that. I told him to just go ahead and tell people that I am sick. I guess there is a shame to it. Not for Clyde but for me. I don't know where I am going on this I guess I just don't want those kind of pity looks. Amylee

Guest guest
Amylee, I understand so well! I had those same thoughts until just a few days ago! I have since then decided that I am going to be happy in spite of it all. I may have to use a walker, and at times a wheelchair, at least I am able to get around! My mothe-in-law weighed 480 pounds at her death. She was a double amputee; both legs just below the knee, but I remember her as the most pleasant person I have ever known! I want to be remembered as a pleasant person! The most difficult part for me was getting out and about with an aid of some sort the first time! A lady that I have known since our 19 year olds started kindergarten together was the first person to see me with my walker in public. She asked, " What happened to you? " I explained, and her response was, " Better safe than not! " There have been times that I would not take the walker with me, and I would regret it later, because there were just some things I could not do without it, and it is really embarrasing to ask for help , when you look healthy and able. I have learned that with my walker, people realize that I have a medical problem, and it saves me the embarrasment of having to ask fo help, if I do get myself into a predicament. I will be here for you! Baby steps to where you need to be! I will be here for you! ((((HUGS!!!))))
