Guest guest
Herb teas are wonderful! There are lots of combinations and possibilities....My mind is not working well now, but some that come to mind are, Red clover, Sage is nice too, in small amounts, with a little honey. If you have a cold, or any kind of nasal congestion, a really good, effective tea, is to take 2 cloves of garlic minced, put in a big mug, with a teaspoon or so, of WHOLE sage. Let it steep for about 15 minutes and then add the juice of one (or 2) lemons, and some honey. It tastes a little like dirty socks, with honey but is very good for clearing you out. Also chamomile tea is nice in the evening. What about raspberry leaves? they make a delicious tea. Blackberries also are good. And the second benefit is the wonderful berries you get from the vines! When I think of some more I'll post them! here's another one I found on the web. Ctnip and Chamomile 1/2 cup dried catnip 3/4 cup dried chamomile 1 cup dried lemon balm 1/4 cup dried mint 1/4 cup dried lemongrass Mix the herbs thoroughly, and store in an air tight container. For a cup of tea, use 2 tsp in a cup of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes and strain out the herbs. :-) HTH Zahra
