Guest guest
, Thanks for the info. I didn't realize OO was dangerous in that way, though I knew about tea tree oil and some other ones. Either way, the OO was diluted in olive oil. I don't know what concentration. When I was low on it, I diluted it with even more olive oil to make it last. Chris > Chris--Essential Oils should ALWAYS be diluted in a carrier oil (jojoba, coconut, olive). Using EOs neat is a bad idea because you can sensitize (become severely allergic) to the chemical compounds in the oil and is also a waste of precious and expensive materials. Rule of thumb: 10 drops of pure EO to one ounce of carrier oil. Some resources: > > Watt's site (very informative): http://www.aromamedical.com/ > Butch Owen's site--fabulous quality, well priced Essential oils: http://www.av-at.com/ He has three different Oregano oils listed-- you should write and ask him which is best for eczema. > > There is a lot of misinformation in the aromatherapy world: watch out for it! > > HTH, > > > >
Guest guest
glad to hear it--I think it would be pretty cheap to buy an undiluted OO and put it in Olive Oil yourself--a 20 ml bottle of pure OO would last a VERY long time indeed. ***************** Either way, the OO was diluted in olive oil.
