Guest guest
Hi Sonya, The only thing I've ever done w/raw goat milk is make kefir, so I can't answer your questions about clabbering or yogurt. But I can say that the raw milk kefir stays good for a loooong time. I have some problems w/dairy so I only drink a little bit of kefir at a time. I haven't had it spoil on me yet. When I make kefir from pasteurized goat milk, it will spoil. > I recently found I could purchase raw goat's milk and am now wondering about what all I can do with it. Does it clabber like raw cow's milk? What about making yogurt? My daughter has been drinking about a cup a day as she thought it would just be good for her--and in fact, some eczema she's had trouble getting rid of has started abating although the raw goat milk is the only major difference in her diet. Does clabbering mean you just let it sit out in the carton (opened/unopened?). Also, does it keep, especially once opened, longer than pasteurized milk? Any information will be greatly appreciated. > > Sonya > > >
Guest guest
Hi , thanks for your input, apparently kefir is made with grains of some sort, so i'll check into that end further. good to know it keeps a long time, i am always wondering about the raw milk, but it does seem to " keep " better than pasteurized. sonya Re: raw goat's milk Hi Sonya, The only thing I've ever done w/raw goat milk is make kefir, so I can't answer your questions about clabbering or yogurt.
