Guest guest
, I've been remembering the family. I cannot imagine the horror they are going through and pray that God continues to help them through it. For some reason I watched CSI Miami this week (I usually don't), and I was appalled at the situations they show that can happen during spring break at the beaches. I pray that our children are taught how to live right and that they remember during the tough times of temptation. I think what has made this situation more difficult is that it happened in a local, usually calm setting instead of a more exotic one. Do you know what time the funeral is today? Guest guest
Thank you Darlene, They have decied to have the funeral tomorrow at 10:00. They were on the local news last night and it just broke my heart all over again. You know now matter how much we try to protect our children, sometimes they just make the wrong decisions. In her case, she was 3 blocks from home and thought nothing of walking. They do have alot of DNA and tire tracks so I feel sure they will find the individual/individuals responsible. The most sickening thing about it is that someone could have such a low regard for a human life. After it happened, I immediately called both my girls and told them never to go out at night anywhere without their husbands. If they are not available then wait until they are. It is a shame, but we have to be on watch all the time just in case there is some weirdo out there with hate in his heart. Thanks for letting me vent. I think it heped me a little. Guest guest
Hi Liz, I'm so sorry it took so long to get back to you. I have been pretty busy around here now that mom is not driving and seems I don't have much time for the computer!! I miss being here. I'm glad you're doing ok with in school and having time to spend with Steve although I know you and he would both prefer he get the job he wants. My heart broke when I read your letter and I pray our good Lord will intervene with a better job for Steve and another little one for you to babysit. I wish I was there to help you. I feel so helpless. There are so many people out of work right now and it is getting pretty scary. We are in real grave danger of losing our business. If that happens we will have to sell our home and move elsewhere and start over. That is not always easy to do when you are our age but I told Ron the other night that no matter what happens we are together and somehow we will make it through. Well now on a much better note, they are starting construction later this month on moms little efficiency. My sister has her guest room in her house fixed up so nice with all moms personal things and it looks so great. I told her the other day that if I was mom I wouldn't budge!! she's got it pretty good right where she is!!!! My brother in law said that would be just fine with him, they realy like having her there with them. But my mom is of the belief that they need their own space and she needs hers too so here we go again. We will probably move her in in Dec sometime. I will keep you and Steve in my prayers dear one. Love you, Hi , I'm amazingly fine with at school. In fact I'm enjoying my quiet mornings right now. It's just me and Steve here between 9 and 11:30 AM. I lost the little girl that I was babysitting, so Steve and I both are out of a job. :-( Steve's still iffy about taking the job at that company that pays half or less of his last job. He had an interview last Fri. and is suppose to give them an answer tomorrow. This job pays between 9 and 13 dollars an hour with no way to move up in the company. It's pretty much a dead end job. Although it does offer a lot of required overtime. Which means that Steve will leave at 7 AM and get home at 7 PM. They only offer insurance on him and not the family. If he takes it, it will leave him very little opportunity for applying and interviewing for other jobs and of course the time that he'll be away from us. So if you could pray for him about the decision. I'm glad that your mom is getting settled. How long do you think it will be before her new place is ready? How's she feeling? Love ya!!!! This time it will be just across the patio so shouldn't be too bad. How are you adjusting with little in school? I remember how traumatic it was when mine went for the first time. How about Steve? I'm sorry I have been so negligent with keeping up. It seems like everything here happened at once and is all consuming. Have a wonderful day you little workout machine you!!!! Guest guest
Hi R, They are doing a little better. They said having so many people at the funeral really helped. I was truly apalled though. As we were walking out of the church I saw the TV and newspaper cameras going and couldn't believe it!!! The next day, plastered on the front page were Dave and Jayanne crying and touching the casket as they put it in the hearse. Sometimes I would like to just choke the media!!! Their other two children are having a pretty tough time. Their son is just a couple of years younger than Katy and he got up in church and begged if anyone had a sibling or other family member that they had problems with to please resolve them before it is too late. He and Katy were extremely close and he said as hard as this is, he couldn't imagine how it would feel if they had had problems and this had happened. Their other child is only nine years old and she is having a really hard time. They said the only thing they would ask of people is to please continue praying. Guest guest
Well 12 years ago we sold our manufacturing business because it depended so much on the potash mines and we felt they were going to run out sooner or later and sure enough they are. We then got in the dairy business and although we are doing all we can, the Government is giving us nothing for our milk. It gets higher and higher in the stores but we are paid next to nothing for what we produce. Someone somewhere is getting rich at our expense. We have lost almost all our savings and don't know how much longer we can hold on. We are trying desperately to sell but no one wants to buy something that is losing. I think the government is trying to get rid of as many dairies as it can and those that can hold on will be able to come back. When we got into it we were sure it would be good because of all the milk products consumed but we have no control over the price we get so we are just stuck. Milk prices for the dairies has been extremely low now for a year with no hope in sight. Oh well, I didn't mean to bore you with my book of woes. somehow we will prevail and I know tha God is in control so I am turning it over to Him and let Him guide us. Love you, Me Re: Prayer request C Hi , Don't worry about that, I know you're busy, but I do miss you. I'll be praying about your business. What kind of business do you and Ron have?
