thanks lyudmyla . i have a doubt what if their is a periodontal abscess, dental abscess and draining abscess with no facial swelling , no fever and no temperature do we still have to prescribe anti biotic. Hi,

There is no need to prescribe Antibiotics until & unless thers SYSTEMIC invovement or there is a life threatening condition. Just remove the cause, do access & drainage or extraction or dependent incision & drainage.

According to NHS, dentists are unnecessary prescribing Abs to every pts. eg is highly resistant ND62 strain
