Last week I lucked into finding some wonderful glass containers that are

leak-proof too. They're from www.snapware.com. Under the kitchen section, the

glass link. I found them in my grocery store though. Until then I was storing

food in recycled glass jars. Plastic is one of the biggest mistakes mankind has

ever made. Right up there with hydrogenation and chorine! I've been looking for

containers like this for years so last week was a very happy occasion! The lids

are plastic but there's no need for the lid to come in contact with food. Warm

food will create leaching and hopefully we all know not to microwave food with

plastic (better not at all). These containers are good for everything. Put

slightly dampened veggies in them, butter, leftovers, etc. I'm more concerned

with soft foods that could absorb BPA's but it's nice to also see exactly what's

in your fridge. They come in many shapes and sizes and no I don't work for the

company!

canning jars (used for jam or jelly), with the pretty lids - there are various

doesn't touch the food) for storing and freezing food - I put Saran Wrap on

those without lids and if I want it more secure I put a rubber band around it.

+++Hi Sharon. Remember we must not microwave any foods, not even water - see
