Do it through the crown. I think endodontics can be done through the crown. We dont have ot make 3 or 4 canals in crown. We have to make access anywayz. Can be done,HoweverYOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN ALL RELEVANT RISK & BENEFITS.This is last option better then ending up removing teeth. But never the long term solution. But important is to understand what made a PEM crowned tooth to be going for RCT. if there is decay underneath the crown the restoration is impossible.Problems are:1.Decay teeth with no proper restoration prior to PFM causing Secondary caries under PFM.2.Poor margins3.Root caries due to gingival recession. etc.So its important to weigh benefits and risk and likely outcome of treatment and the informed consent.RegardsZahid From: huhley2006@...Date: Tue, 22 Nov 2011 20:41:44 +0000Subject: Qs about RCT on UR6 through a PFM
