lichen planus treatment-STEROIDS

Hi guysI am concerned about treatment of lichen planus...what is the primary treatment?Identify all relevant factors,prescribe benzydamine,chlorhexidine...What about steroids to apply?They are not in BNF anymore!!!What shall I tell to the Pt??Your help will be appreciated,thank you SincerelyLyudmyla

HHii, I think u should eliminate risk factors for lichenoid reaction[which came

in OSCE's] like; look for new amalgam filling, pt on medication, smoking &

drinking. prescribe benzydamine for a week & as u said Triamcinalone is not

writtin in BNF for oral use. review in 1 week if the same size of lesion, refer

to OMFS for biopsy & systemic steriods.

please correct me if Iam wrong.
