Guest guest
You will get a lot of various opinions on this post. I noticed that some of your meals are only 2 hours apart, while others are 4 hours. This isn't THAT big of a deal, but just something I noticed. My response is going to influenced by what types of food you like to eat and what your goals are. Hussman recommends that the final meal of the day be cottage cheese and an apple. Just his opinion, if you havn't seen his article, check it out at http://www.hussman.com/eas My thinking is that you don't have to be too concerned about eating cottage cheese and an apple and then going straight to bed. If you had your standard 10:00 meal at 7:00, you wouldn't be eating a 'heavy' meal right before bed. Also, if you are eating standard portions, I'm not sure it really matters if you go straight to bed after eating. I havn't seen any information about that. Let's see what others say... > Hi all! > > I've been on BFL for 3 weeks now, and I'm really starting to feel a > difference on the inside and see a slight difference on the outside. > I finally got the nutrition down, and the exercise is slowly coming > along (It's hard with asthma that tends to act up frequently). > > Now comes my question. The problem is, he doesn't get home from work until 10:00 > at night, as he works 12 hour shifts and we live an hour and a half > from his work. We used to just eat and then go to bed. I know that > that is not a good thing, but I would still like to eat something > with him, so that we can still sit down and " eat " together. Any > suggestions on what to eat? Guest guest
Hi AmyAileen!! Im thrilled to hear of your progress!! Id like to take a crack at the questions that you asked, although Im a LONG way from being an expert..... I was wondering if you are trying to lose fat as well as build muscle? The reason I ask this, is because Ive been told not to eat carbs after 6 or 7pm if you are striving for fat loss.... I usually (if I have to eat after 8pm) will eat tuna or cottage cheese, and a small apple for my carb....or Ill just skip the apple. I guess actually now I think about it, ANY time I eat after 8pm I eat pretty much pure protein. I keep my carbs up on the menu earlier in the day, so Im sure to burn them off before bed time Also, the peanut butter you eat at your 2nd meal....is it natural peanut butter? the reason Im asking this is because most pb has about 16 grams of fat in it....and its about 200 calories for 2tbs. As far as the eating with your hubby, I usually just give myself the dressed down meal (no gravies, fried, etc yada yada) and then fix the other portions as my husband and daughter like them.... personally I wish they'd start to eat like me, it would be easier, but this way, they are happy, and im eating "clean" LOL! I take Betagen 6 times per day..... 1/2 serving with each meal.... this seems to work out best for me, because I spread it out over the entire day, and its constantly available for my body to use. I cant help you with the Phen Free, I cant use anything that revvs me up I pray this helps you a little bit.......Im sure there are many more experienced out there with LOTS more wisdom to impart ~~
Guest guest
Hi AmyAileen! Your food looks good, but I don't see any protein in Meal #2, and I recommend you save peanut butter for Free Day. As said, it is very high in fat and calories and those will add up quick. Also, watch the sugar content on the nutrition bars as they tend to be high in sugars as a general rule. I don't see any problem with your eating with your husband at 10pm at night, and I can certainly understand wanting that bonding time with him. Jen B. Guest guest
Hi Bobbe, yep, in the last week, where my hernia was, I've had at least a spasm a day, and it takes my breath away. It subsides after a minute or two and I go on about my business. But it usually happens at the most inopportune times....like a bowel movement! Melisa Re: Question... Bobbe, I was so terrified at the thought of them that dr.K put valium on order for me prn spasms. Unfortunately, one finally came on *after* the order had expired, but fortunately, it didn't last long. Never had any since that one. Guest guest
Dearest Bonnie, You have my sympathy and prayer, but I am stumped otherwise. Sorry. Connie BUT if she doesn't want anymore pills how about liquid form? question... Hi everyone, I am going to FL to visit my mother this July -- taking along the Night Magic. Mom has a terribly bloated stomach -- picture an elderly lady (84 years old) who bends over a bit with a huge belly --everything else skinny. Although her belly had been rounded before, it got really bad when she started a new medication (for her neuropathy -- the med is essential, it keeps the pain bearable -- so no choice but to continue it). Her doctor varies with his comments -- " don't eat so much " to " learn to live with it " .... Anyway, she's eager to try the Night Magic -- I figure that a week of using it will give us an indication of whether it will help her. But I'm wondering if I should also have her try adding some probiotics (she'll fight that, she thinks she takes " too many pills " and doesn't want to take any more) -- maybe even some magnesium (she suffers badly from constipation, ends of taking ' milk of magnesia -- I think that regular small doses of magnesium might be " easier " ). Any comments/ideas? Anything else I might encourage her to do? I really hope the Night Magic helps her! Thanks, Bonnie
Guest guest
Hi Sweetie, My only concern with her taking probiotics is the effect they might have on the various medications she is on. Is there to find out information about the medications? As for the NM....I think it is a wonderful idea! Your right, after a week on it you will know if it is helping or not. It might have the added affect of her not needing her as her stomach starts to respond to the NM...you know? Does she take a muli-vit? That is where I would probably start her if I was going to give her anything. Maybe a liquid one? Just my 2 cents...I'm sure others will have much better ideas. love, Jenni Proud Air Force Mom! Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I feel quite certain the Night Magic would be something really great for your Mom. Please keep me posted on how it works for her. Be sure to tell her to make sure she drinks at least 6 glasses of water daily and tell her I am sending her a big hug. I hope this makes her feel better. I am not sure about the probiotics so I would ask her doctor since she is taking medication. There is nothing in the Night Magic that should interfere with her medications so I am not concerned about that at all. Take good care, Rashelle Harness the Powerful Benefits of Oxygen with LifeLift. What says any of you?TomAdministrator I've had premonitions in the past, but nothing so far about that day. Most of my premonitions only come pretty close to the event anyway, so it is a little early to tell. I've heard a few things about this particular date, but I don't think that anything will happen that isn't caused by humans. Perhaps terrorists might try to strike then to take advantage of the date itself to cause more panic and concern. Others might also try to take advantage of the date to cause mischief. However, if anything of cosmic significance will happen, that I rather doubt. In 1666, there was the Great London Fire that burned much of the city. That was considered a terrible thing, but because so many wooden buildings with thatched roofs were burned, the rat population was decimated and probably spared the city and England from a major outbreak of plague. So I think we'll just have to wait and see what happens, though I'm not holding my breath that it will be anything significant.

Premonitions are not as illogical as you might like to believe. Everyone has the right to state what they feel without being attacked. I would think you would know that thought processes of any sort know no boundaries. All we have to do is look at our politicians and compare them to other politicians in other countries to see that similar thought processes exist everywhere in the world. LOL. And as for Canada not falling for illogical ideas, perhaps you would like to rephrase that generalization. Seriously I have never read anything of Nostradamus and have no idea who he was or if ANY of his predictions have ever come to pass.Ace Most of Nostradamus's prophecies were meant for his time and particularly for France. However, like so many predictions, they are vague and can be interpreted in many ways and made to fit many different events. He was spot on with a few of them, like the king who died in a joust when the lance splintered and part of it went into his eye and brain and killed him. Then again, that wasn't an uncommon injury in jousting.

Where abouts? I grew up on a farm outside of small town Elmira (North of Kitchener). I was in Ontario last year in July and visited Niagara Falls for the first time in over 35 years. The falls and the waterfront are still much the same but beyond that it does not resemble what it was like back then at all. There was no business or commercial development beyond the first few blocks away from the river front. Ace
