Guest guest
That's great, Virginia! I'm always looking for more info on diabetic cooking. What's the name of your new cookbook, please? Guest guest
Way to go Virginia! I was doing my original life lift today and Rashelle is so soothing and calming. I was watching a Christian health show this morning and she was (the Dr) emphasizing the importance of oxygen to our bodies...we know that don't we? Love Connie 65 consecutive days+ more Today is my 65th consecutive day for doing my breaths and reading my scripture. I started out with 10 and increased to 15 on day 30. On day 61 the increase was 5 more making a total of 20 a day now. It is becoming a little more difficult to get them all in before I eat breakfast but that is when I want to do them as there is more benefit at that time according to Rashelle. I need all the help I can get. Yesterday I purchased a cookbook for diabetics that I had checked out from the library that show how to make changes in cooking to adapt your own recipes to healthier versions. It has a lot of information in it as well as the section on recipes. It looks to me like this will have to be my chosen method of eating...for life. Now, I just have to find a way to fill that screaming meanie in me that wants to eat everything that isn't nailed down! lol Baby Steps, Baby Steps! There are several who I've realized are not posting...maybe lurking. Ellen, where are you? Last I recall you had your plate pretty full. Has anything worked out to ease your load? Guest guest
Virginia, I am so very proud of you. And you don't know how much you encourage me. I am now reading my scriptures every morning and doing my exercises in your honor!! What is the name of your new cookbook? I think you are definitely doing the right thing and it is something we should all be thinking about with the epidemic of diabetes in this country. did you hear on the news that for every 3 children born in 2000 that one will develop diabetes because of the amount of sugar we consume? Now that is scary!! Love, 65 consecutive days+ more Today is my 65th consecutive day for doing my breaths and reading my scripture. I started out with 10 and increased to 15 on day 30. Guest guest
Helene, I haven't followed the tape. I basically just do the breathing as the positions at this point are too difficult for me. I have a back that is not stable so all the stress of holding a position usually makes it worse and I have to see the chiropractor sooner. :-( I do love the breathing though. I had a friend of mine ask today how the breath is done and I showed her. I've decided to order the tape for a birthday gift for her. She will be 82 on her birthday. She has really awful circulation in her feet and legs. If the doctors saw them they would likely tell her they would have to be amputated. I'm hoping that it will help her get better circulation though her case is really severe and she will not hear of going to the doctor.
