Hi,

To my knowledge, vitamin E is good for both lipbalm & lotion.

Grapeseed extract is good for lotion

Essential oil is a good option for both too.

Be careful ... Vit E and grapeseed extract are antioxidants, not preservatives.

There is a difference. Your best bet is to go with Phenonip or Germaben II. Most

supply sites carry them. I use antioxidants and preservatives so that I can use

a small amount of the preservative. All in all, though, it's worth it to avoid

someone being injured by a product that has bacterial growth. (ewwwwwwwwwwwwww)

Hello,

I am looking for a lotion preservative that does not contain any of the

parabens. Can anyone out there suggest anything.

Thank you,

Do you know about RJ's calculators. I think the website is soapsbyRJ or

something like that. If you go to the calculator section they have a

calculator for nearly everything, soap making recipes, recpie

measurments to % calcs, metric converters, and even pricing calculators

and of course a preservative calculator. GReat place.
