Guest guest
don't try to thin it, just scoop it into a pastry bag or a large ziplock and snip a hole in the end and slowly squeeze it into your jars.

You can reheat it. Use the micro. Only reheat it 20 seconds at a time add hot water not boiling and do not let the lotion bubble or boil either. Remember it will thicken as it cools so add a little more water than you think you need. I did this just two days ago worked great I also thickend some already made and scented. For one cup thin lotion I added 1 tsp cocobutter ( you can add more if you want thicker buttery body butter) I simply did the 20 second heating about 4 times in the micro then stirred in a teaspoon of melted cocobutter. As it cools it becomes thicker. You can also use small amount Melted (Real)bees wax. Aloha! HawaiianSoapsRus
Guest guest
Sue, You can reheat and add a little water to your batch to thin it out some. I would mix as I am pouring in the water and only add a small amount at a time. My body butters and lotion recipes are almost identical the only major difference being the amount of water(aloe vera gel) in my case being used. Guest guest
I'd like to thank you all so much for your tips! I have a lotion that's too thin to be a cream... & a cream that's too thick to be a lotion! I will try reheating it with a little water (or maybe some more aloe juice!) & pour it into bottles instead of jars!! Thanks again, Sue > > Sue, > > You can reheat and add a little water to your batch to thin it out some. I > would mix as I am pouring in the water and only add a small amount at a > time.
