Hi

Daisy! Welcome. From reading the description of your life sounds like mine. I

too have a son now 5 1/2yrs that IS ADHD, Aspergers, and has sensory issues. I

look at everyday as a new Journey. Some days better than others. He finally

stopped wetting his bed a 1 ½ months ago all on his own. He never walked early

or talked early. I had one Psych tell me. To put him on the rug and push the

back of his feet it may help – mind you he was three by then. Put him on

a rug and he will let me push his feet – Yea if I put a skateboard under

me. He never does any thing slow every movement is quick and hard. He has been

tossed from 12 daycares in his short life and did not start daycare until he

was two. Getting any housework or important stuff done only happens when he

closes his eyes for the night. Take everyday as a new day and smile –

there are two many mean, not understanding people in this world and focus on

just enjoying the day and your son!

New here...introduction

A

welcome and a hug to you too, Daisy, before my face falls forward onto my

laptop keyboard because I am so sleepy. One of the other terrific mothers

on this list -- actually more than one, I'm sure! -- will have some supportive

answers for you.

Love,

Sun~Rose

Hi, My name is Daisy and I'm the mother of 4...My oldest Boy,

Braydon

just turned 5 and is in the process of being screened on the autism

spectrum. He just got a written diagnosis of combination ADHD

emphasis on the hyperactivity although his inattention is just as bad

if not worse. We've seen stuff in him since he was 1. He walked

EXTREMELY early (7 1/2 mos) his talking was somewhat delayed and

although he potty trained early and easy in the last yr he's started

bed wetting BAD adn no matter what we do cant help himself. Ive

been more than frustrated on this journey. At 2 they told me all that

he did was age appropriate but he had sensory issues so we went

though Early Intervention Program and got him therapy til 3 and then

he started school (Bright Beginnings Pre K for at risk kids). His

first 1/2 yr of school went great. the last 2 he's declining. Its

gotten really bad this yr. He cant focus on a schedule at all. He

cant sit at circle time He doesnt play w/ any kids usually and when

he does he is very bossy. Braydon is into Computer Science (can hook

up a computer properly all by himself) in a HUGE way. If he builds

w/ his blocks he draws out a full schematic first. He doesnt like it

if i change the rooms around furniture wise. He'll sit and sob. Just

like he doesnt understand. His teacher doesnt think its Aspergers

but other behavior therapists say he prob is and his psych is leaning

that way. Anyone else have any ideas for me...right now we're trying

to work up some behavior therapies to help me. Like i said I have

four kids...my oldest was 7 in Feb..they are 7,5,4,22mos I am sooo

busy but my house is suffering cuz i cant take my eyes off of braydon

for fear of what he will do next.

Sorry so long....any take on Bray's case please let me know.
