Guest guest
Meg, When I was 40 I looked into replacements/pain relief. I went with Synvisc and it has worked great. I had pretty intensive PT for a while after having the injections. It I have far exceeded the time I was told to expect for it to benefit me. I am finding I am ready for another series but have been trying Elation drink which contains the Glucosamine/chondroitin. So am continuing to hold off as long as possible. " Meg F. I have grade 4 on the patella alone, and we're trying for insurance approval (in the multiple layers of appeals right now) for ACI. If it doesn't work, or we can't get approved, I'm going to be looking for the next best option. But no one really replaces just the patella. :-) I just turned 38 and my doc doesn't want to talk about replacements, but we have to do something to get me active again. Meg.
