Sure she can write to me at anytime:) I'd love to talk to her. I was at one

time very jealous of my brother too ... Actually, when my mom found out she

was pregnant with him and told us, I threw a fit: first, because i thought my

mom was too old for stuff like that (i was 13 at the time) and second, I

think it was because I was jealous... I think that comes with every child in

reference to a sibling ... But after I got through those adolescent

horrifying teenage years and as I got older and understood more, I am not

jealous if my 'rents give more attention to mattie, etc because I know that

they give each of us equal attention, maybe uneven sometimes but that is when

a circumstance or an occassion calls for it (for example, when mom/dad are

talking about Mattie's medical stuff, etc. and i want them to do something

for me like look at something new i got ~ I've come to understand that

important issues come first and to wait my turn)... My younger sister Katey

I know is still in that jealous stage ... And when i come home, I've noticed

that she tends to get jealous at times when i spend more time with mattie,

etc... But I think that jealousy stage (of, it's not fair, you are giving

him/her more attention than me) wears out with age.

n,

You are very wise. In our family, growing up, it was the oldest who needed

more of my parents attention. There were 3 others of us after him. It took

me a long to realize what was fair, wasn't necessarily even and that my

parents did their best to give us what we needed. Welcome to the list!

Kathy, Liam's mom(4)

will enjoy her input on Down syndrome and family relationships.

is a wonderful daughter and she didn't give me too much trouble during

her teen years. There were three fender benders and she is still financially

dependent...lol!!! Oh well, there is hope once May rolls around next year ;)

One thing that is interesting....she understands so much of what says,

even when I can not. He can have conversations with her on the phone and she

then tells me what he has said. He wants to call her every single day. Tim's

been gone this week and this morning I said " Guess who is coming home today? "

He said , I said no, who is coming home? He said again. I asked

" Where is daddy? " ..he said work. I said, no on an airplane. Oh, he said...lol!

Oh yea, if you ask the middle two which kid in the family gets more attention,

they will say and not ...lol! The truth is that Snoop probably

gets the most because he demands the most!

You just need the consultation approved. After that, you go to the consult

and get the test list. THEN you get the tests done, and USC gets you the date

for surgery as soon as the results are FAXED to them. Apparently they do not

allow regular mail for test results (weird...but a rule). YOu will want to

have a copy of the test results to HAND carry and have for yourself, just in

case the fax mysteriously disapears from the office or something.

MOST IMPORTANT: Get your PCP to authorize the consultation with USC Dr.

Anthone. After that, I am told, it is pretty much a standard breeze to get

Tricare to cover everything.
