IN MY TIME ON THE ROAD I DID NOT SEE OR HERE OF VACUUM HEAD BLOCKS OR NECK

SUPPORTS BUT THE YANKS HAVE A PIECE OF KIT THAT STICKS TO THE LONG BOARD AN

STRAPS ARE PULLED OUT AND PUT UNDER THE BOARD THEN OVER PTS HEAD TO

STABILIZES HEAD WITHOUT BLOCKS

They are called " Headbed " and though not perfect, they work quite well.They

are made by Laerdal and consist of a semi " H " shaped cardboard " flat " with a

small pad that the head rests on. Stability is provided by some super high tech

tape straps. It stores flat, is disposable, and costs about $3.50 USD.

Hello guy's, Re-Headblocks,

My Station is testing out these type of stick on disposable Head Huggers.

I will keep list up two date on our findings.

I have done spinal immobilisation using beer

towels and bystanders knees and it worked well. If

you are improvising, use humans. If you can't and

the patient is packaged, use anything to hand that

can help block rotational or lateral movement, the

tapes alone can stop the patient nodding. You

would need a few SAM splints to achieve such

effect?

Are you also not getting this list confused with

ECO?
