Stability is provided by some super high tech tape straps. It stores flat, is disposable, and costs about $3.50 USD.

Guest guest
, I have done spinal immobilisation using beer towels and bystanders knees and it worked well. If you are improvising, use humans. If you can't and the patient is packaged, use anything to hand that can help block rotational or lateral movement, the tapes alone can stop the patient nodding. You would need a few SAM splints to achieve such effect? Are you also not getting this list confused with ECO? Cheers, Ross > > Out of curiosity how big are the towels > when rolled, the chap who asked is > limited on space for carrying items so > has to have things that double up for > other jobs, I was thinking possibly > using rolled SAM splints as an > alternative, anyone comment on whether > they think this would do the same > job? > How come the traffic on this list is so > sparse recently, I've heard nothing > from the old regulars like S.Dolphin etc > have I missed a change over of lists or > something? > > C
