Guest guest
Hi there, use a normal m & p base, I prefer to use some TD to make it opaque for this. Get some fresh coffee beans ground roughly at your local shop etc. For a total coffee bar I melt the base, wait until it's almost at gel stage and then stir in the coffee grounds. It makes it go a very light brown shade with lovely coffee flecks throughout it. If you want to you can make a swirl soap using a pvc downpipe. Take a cookie tray and pour on a thin!! layer of the coffee soap - make it browner if necessary with a tiny amount of cocoa and I mean a tiny amount. when it is still warm but set, remove from the tray( get one corner free then just peel it off the tray) spritz with alchohol and then roll it into a roll. Take the PVC pipe and pour a little M & P into a bowl and set the end of the pipe into it then put the coffee roll into the pvc pipe and leave until they are totally set. Melt your white base and cool, spritz the roll again and pour the cooled white base into the pipe. It will fill all of the gaps between the roll and leave to set. When totally set, remove from the bowl and place in the freezer for 10 minutes. Use a rolling pin to push it through and slice. Voila - coffee swirl soap. You can make a coffee mocha or coffee and orange in the same way. TIP- coffee soap is great for getting rid of garlic and onion smells from your hands a good cooks soap. Guest guest
I have heard from a lady in Toronto who would like to carry some coffee soaps in her shop. She said " there is a consignment element to it and I am looking for suppliers-preferably little guys without retail outlets who can make a few extra $$ with me, I could even supply them with the fair trade coffee/fair trade teas/chocolate powders " If anyone is interested please contact me off the list and I'll send you her e-mail address.
