I made one of these too. Always a hit with the teachers, therapists, anyone new

in her life. I also got teachers to add a page explaining their experiences with

her. I always told them to be brutally honest to be helpful to the next set of

professionals. When she was smaller, she was alittle shy around new people and

she loved showing the photos and it would break the ice.

I made an " All About Me " book for my Alyssa years ago, when she started

school.

I started with her newborn pic, and info, then to her open heart surgery

(after

the surg but still in the hospital ) and went thru the years. I put it in a 3

ring binder with plastic over the pages, but made the pages look kind of like

the scrapbook pages everyone does. I'm really not that talented. I put that

she

has difficulty with noise-with a pic of her holding her ears at a wedding,

that

she likes making friends-with pics of her in school with her friends, pics of

her teachers thru the years, her interests-vacations we've taken, celebrities

we've met (Barney, the Wiggles, Loonette from Comfy Couch, some of the Lions

players, Disney characters, etc), pics of our family, when she got her

glasses,

additional surgeries. I must admit I have fallen behind lately, but used to

update it every year. If nothing else, it'll be a book of memories for her.
