Guest guest Posted September 18, 2006 Report Share Posted September 18, 2006 Wow, sounds like you gave your knees a good work out! When I ran track for years I think it really wore the joints out. I have osteopenia so they are a bit brittle from that. I had taken a 7 month trip in 2003 from Florida to Alaska and back. We back packed and hiked the whole trip hundreds of miles hiking and it wasn't until the last month before the trip ended that I started having pain. So it's a drastic change for me. Not sure why it came on so fast. But it has been progressive over these last 3 years and I have been an almost couch potatoe basically over the last few months. I must admit I have more pain when I don't walk much that day, I guess I just have to do short intervals through out the day. I agree with you Joi it's nice to have support from people who know what your going through. As well as getting info on what helps them. Good luck.
