My right knee has been bone on bone for a long time. That’s why they did the

TTT and that did help a lot. My left knee is getting bad though…lots of

popping, giving out, pain and swelling. The right knee has been swelling too

in the last 4-6 months (left knee longer). I was under the impressions that

I just had to deal with it until I could no longer walk, and then get the

knee replacements. Maybe not, now that I have gotten info from this group

and online. As much as I’d hate to have to do more surgery, that might still

be my only option. I won’t know until I’ve gone in to see the doctor. Every

night my knees are swollen and my ROM is limited. Just sitting here they

hurt. Maybe my body is trying to tell me something? LOL I’m a little

slow…I’m tired of having surgeries on my knees!!!

I guess the patial knee is called resurfacing. The medial aspect of my

right knee is bone one bone so that would be an option for that one.

But the left is the outer aspect and the knee cap is really bad as

well so he said that would have to be a TKR.

The brace he said since they are on different parts of the knee I

would only be able to use one on the right leg.

I do have insurance but it is a $250.00 deductable. Ouch!

I guess I might need to try it to see. The synvisc didn't really do

much but then I guess it was worth a shot.

Sounds like you have been through simular things. I use to run but I

would be happy to just be able to walk at this point with minimal pain.

Thank you for your opinion. JoAnn
