That can be one of the ingredients. Ewax can vary depending on the

manufacturer. Only Polawax by Croda is entitled to be on a label as

emulsifying wax NF.

Hi ,

As used on many listgroups, the word " Emulsifying Wax " covers a multitude of

raw materials that have a waxy feel or consistency and have the ability to

emulsify oils into water.

From the perspective of INCI names, there is only one Emulsifying Wax and

that is sold by a company called Croda under the trade name of Polawax.

Actually, the real INCI name for Polawax is " Emulsifying Wax NF " . Using

INCI names, there is NO such thing as just " Emulsifying Wax " .

All other emulsifying waxes are different and therefore must have different

INCI names. When you purchase your emulsifying wax online, you should asked

the vendor for the proper INCI name and ask for a Material Safety Data

Sheet, MSDS. The OSHA Hazard Communication Standard requires, by law,

vendors to supply a MSDS with the shipment of each chemical sold.

If your vendor doesn't want to include an MSDS and provide you with the

proper INCI name, that vendor either doesn't really know what they are

selling or they don't want you to know what they're selling. In either

situation, I would SERIOUSLY consider a different source of emulsifying

wax.

Hi ,

You will have much better luck with emulsifying wax NF or Polawax. You are

in luck. One of the best suppliers is right in your neck of the woods!

Sherri at OSHUN Spirit Arts is in BC! She is one of the best and I know she

carries Polawax. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Hi, !

If you're looking for a good supplier in BC, visit www.oshun.bc.ca. They have

absolutely everything to content your heart's desires. We are in Toronto but my

mother orders from them lots of things she can't find around here. She says they

are the best!

Hi,

I am shopping around for a good emulsifying wax. There seems to be a lot of

options. I want one that doesn't have any animal products. Does anyone want to

share their preferences....My current supplier seems to think that castor wax is

an emulsifier but I haven't had any luck with this.

Thanks,

(who currently makes lotions that seperate)
