Hi,

does anyone know where I can purchase flavor oils without having to

help or advice or even if you know of a good online supplier that is

cheap, thats cool too.I'm just starting out and these shipping

charges and waiting on order is putting a damper on things. Also

please advise on the different uses of flavor oils besides lip balm.

Thank you.

Hi,

Guess I am lucky, my Wal-Mart carries them on a side-kick at the

end of the baking aisle. If you have a candy or cake making supply

store near by, most of those carry the Lorrann (sp?) oils. You might

also try a Party Supply store, some of them carry flavor oils with

the candy making supplies. Good Luck,

in NC

Try a cooking shop or a cake baking supplier. Those flavor oils are edible.

If your grocery store has a bulk section you can sometimes find them with

the Merken chips (the ones you melt down to make chocolates).

It depends on who made them. Some lip balm flavors are pre-sweetened,

most, I've found, aren't. You can buy a separate sweetener to add to

it, but you don't need to.

I personally don't used the sweetened, because I don't want to tempt

my customers into licking their lips, making them more chapped, and

having them mistakenly blame my lip balm for it. I know if I wear a

sweetened lip balm, I'm always tempted to lick my lips, and often will

without even realizing that I did.

IMO, lip balm flavor oil is a misnomer. Because basically it's a

fragrance oil that has been approved for lip use. That's it. Luckily

the taste buds and the olfactory senses work together, and often the

impression of taste is there, even when it really isn't. Kind of like

that elementary school experiment where you bit into an apple while

smelling an onion. Your sense of smell made the apple taste like an

onion. Lip balm " flavor " oils do the same thing.

Donna, Flavor oils only smell like the flavor. Bad name for them but that's

it. You can have sweeten if you want but that just tastes sweet.not like

strawberry , for instance.

How do you make labels to put on your bottles (lotions, sprays, shampoo etc). I

want to have labels for different holidays and I also want everyday labels. I

especially need some type of spring/easter label for Easter. I am going to make

Easter Baskets for kids and adults and I want to put some lotions and things in

some of the baskets.
