i did not scroll down to see if anyone answered sorry :) but i add 1T sugar

and one and a half t salt per pound m & p without it my soap melts in no

time and reacts big time to humidity but it is hard and not slimy this way

thank you tamika!! the only other person I know who does m & p says she

adds a small amount of beeswax, but I really wanted to hear from some

other m & p users to explore all of my options, so your answer is much

appreciated.

Colleen, I have read that the addition of a small amount of beeswax makes a

harder bar of soap. I am going to try some soon when I get motivated to

start making soap again. There are too many other things going on in my

life in the summer and soap has to take the back burner (no pun intended).

Marti,

Yes you can remelt it, add a little water to it, you can add to the color

with a complimentary like yellow add blue and get green, or red and blue make

purple.
