Guest guest
Those icepacks the physio recommended yesterday were fantastic. I'd never been told to use ice before on sore joints. The difference 20 minutes of the icepack (blue gel thing) made on her knees was incredible. 30 minutes after the icepack, she could bend her knees again. If I'd know about ice before I could have saved her so much pain and suffering over the years. All the times she has bumped her joints on something and been in pain for days over it, I could have used ice and the pain would have lasted so much less. Live and learn I suppose - I can't believe after all the doctors, physios etc we've seen over the years, that it's taken this long to be told about ice. Guest guest
Maybe you also need to learn about RICE if you haven't already. For painful joints, Rest-Ice-Compression-Elevation----worked better than any drug for me Mike MT Yay for ice > Those icepacks the physio recommended yesterday were fantastic. Guest guest
I used to use only heat on my knee. Now, I apply ice after each exercise routine (1.5 hrs per day in the afternoon) plus I apply ice each night for about 30 minutes and then apply low heat for about 30 minutes. I sleep with a thermal wrap on my knee. It may seem excessive, but it does make my knee feel better.
