Guest guest
Hayley banged both her knees on a wall last night, and is now much much worse that before. Last week during the day she could move her knees normally (just not at night) but now no longer can. The physio called her muscles refusing to straighten her legs " guarding " . The physio said ice packs on for 20 minutes each day afterchool. Also exercises for the muscles on the back of the legs (lower and upper) but because she can't bend her knees at all because of the guarding. Have to go back on thursday and if the muscles are still guarding (ie her legs wont bend at the knees) she will need crutches until she can bend her knees again. This looks to be the start of a long relationship with this physiotherapist. The doctor who diagnosed her chondromalacia referred her to this physio clinic as he goes there himself and finds them excelllent. The guy really was great, just wish it didn't cost so much and we didn't have to go as often. Donna Australia
