Guest guest
Hi everyone I recently applied for ssi and ssdi. I worked full time since I was 19, am almost 34 now but can no longer work presently. I have other conditions besides chondromalacia but was wondering if anyone was on ssi or ssdi due to chondromalacia. I had lateral release surgery on one knee last year, it helped for about 6 months and now is back to grinding and being swollen again. Also I get sharp pains at times when walking... I don't want to keep having surgery. I was born with a congenital defect called patella alta which caused the chondromalacia. Would like some feedback on the ssi/ssdi process regarding chondromalacia/arthriits etc. Thanks
Guest guest
Hey, Haven't been here in awhile but have read some of the recent postings and have a lot of sympathy for the people here. I am 50 years old and I was diagnosed with CP in 1976 while in the Navy. Well, I had to quit my job in 2004 because of the pain. I worked in an auto-related production facility. It was nine months after I had to quit my job that I applied for ssd and then a month later, applied for benefits from the Navy because I was diagnosed while serving with them. It was about 3 months from the time I applied for ssd that I was denied benefits. Given that fact, I got a lawyer and am appealing that presently. I was told that it was a waiting game and that is what I have been doing since then. Both ssd and the navy have all of the paperwork (medical records, etc.) that they have asked for and like I said...just a waiting game. My daily routine has changed drastically and I hope that this gets resolved soon. Rocco > > Hi everyone > > I recently applied for ssi and ssdi.
