Good news, Don!! Sounds like it's a go!

Now, just relax and let those little white pills do

their thing for you and your pain, if any, while the

little cells are sent off to grow!! a lot!!! :))

Is there a recuperation, like any arthroscopic

procedure?

Thanks Ann. I hope you get your TKR. I have a friend who has had both

knees done and he says it was the best thing he ever did. We will keep you

in our thoughts.

My knee is quite sore this morning, but I can start the simple exercises

today to help work out the stiffness. I slept well last night. So far so

good.

I'm glad to hear your knee didn't keep you awake. Are you using pain pills?

Can you walk on that leg?

It's only about 50 hrs since surgery. I can walk on it with a little help

from a cane or one crutch. It hurt a lot when I first get up, then it is

okay. It is swollen to the size of a softball now. For now, I am staying

on the pain pills to keep it from ramping up. My rang of motin is terrible

at about 30 degrees.

I am taking the rest of the week off and will go back to work on Monday or

Tuesday. My buddy had a scope done adn went back to work 2 days after

surgery. For me, that is crazy. I would rather take it slow.

You have to be tough to live here in aussie land with crocodiles and

great white sharks everywhere .....

Just a quick comment though Don,....don't you think it would've been

a good idea to at least shaved your legs before making me look at

that picture??

Dang, you aussie dudes must be extra tough. I did make the 30 foot dash to

the front door.

I only spoke briefly with the OS in the recovery room. I don't know about

pics. I can tell you from seeing previous pics that it is not a big hole

inthe cartilage like yours is. Mine is more of a cracked, broken, soft kind

of cartilage.

The only thing I asked the OS when I saw him was " Am I a Carticel

candidate? " and he said " yes " .

I will find out more next Thursday when I go for my post op visit.

I can walk a bit already. I'll post a pic of the swelling on the egroups

board.
