What are we making? Fruit fresh is good for canning, bad for body products.

fruit fresh is not the same as citric acid, it's ingredients are :dextrose,

ascorbic acid, & silicon dioxide.

dextrose - corn sugar

ascorbic acid - vitamin C

silicon dioxide - anti caking agent

In that case, break down and buy some citric acid. Fruit Fresh won't fizz.

My health food store has it for about 10 bucks a pound - a ridiculous price!

Ordering it is much cheaper.
